A Word About the Title

By default, this theme will display the Tumblr title as regular text. However, it also supports using a header image instead. To use this feature, click on the Appearance tab of the Customize screen. Then upload the image you’d like to use.

To create a title similar to the one used here, you’ll need to download and install the Godfather font. Then using your preferred image editor, create the title as black text on a white background. For best results, the image should be no more than 600 pixels wide.

Instructions for the Adventurous

  1. Suck the theme down to your computer. It’s waiting for you at the link above. (IE users beware: When saving make sure the file extension is .txt; IE will mistakenly try to force it to .htm)
  2. Jump to your Tumblr Dashboard and click the “Customize” link.
  3. Select the “Theme” tab
  4. Click on the “Use custom HTML” link.
  5. The screen will change to show you the actual source code for your current theme. Delete all of it.
  6. Copy all the text from the downloaded theme file and paste it into the white text area.
  7. Click the “Save changes” button
  8. If the colors look all wrong, click on the Appearance tab and then click on Reset default colors.
